SVT 'The 80's'
After extensive research, Fluxpeople came up with an all graphic solution, combining typography, colours, posters and key moments from the period.
TCM Refresh
The refresh, a series of idents based on iconic US movie locations, airs on TCM in Europe, the Middle East and Africa from 4th September.
Flux’s Alon Ziv and Chris Mansson worked directly with TCM to develop the new on-air look. Showcasing TCM as an undisputed destination for iconic film, the refresh captures the spirit of great American cinema, without being film specific.
Filmed in over 30 locations including New York, LA, Route 66, Monument Valley and Arizona, Flux worked with TCM to create a unique set of filmic idents working closely with its sister production company th1ng/th2ng in NYC to organize a complex two-week US shoot.
The cinematic look and feel was achieved in grade by award winning colourist Vince Narduzzo the films where then further enhanced in Maya and After Effects at Th1ng and in-house at TCM.
Simon Goodrick, Creative Director at Turner Broadcasting, said: “We’ve been delighted with Flux’s previous work for TCM and they have again come up trumps with their work on this captivating new look for the channel.”
MTV HD
MTV approached Fluxpeople to create a series of graphic indents/templates to be used on MTV's Live HD channel, they used the term "Black on Black", keeping everything very dark, shiny, detailed and reflective.
The graphic templates had to be flexible, i.e. used in different lengths and to be able to incorporate footage easily.
We came up with the idea of creating a whole abstract particle-world that exists inside the MTV logo. This world reacted, animating to the beats in the soundtrack we commissioned Mcasso.
